Besides the cosmetic aspects of having a short round face such as premature aging and a small chin, there are health problems that are also associated.
All of the photos on this website are untouched and unaltered and every patient was treated by Dr. Sam Muslin.
This patient felt that after getting her bite adjusted by a neuromuscular dentist the shape of her face had changed completely. She has TMJ problems, a small chin and a short lower face.
This patient did not need her teeth drilled down for a bite correction but actually needed to have her teeth built up to correct her overbite and three-dimensionally get her lower jaw in a healthy position. Opening the vertical dimension is not good enough because most patients need to be able to have they lower jaw repositioned in three dimensions to improve their profile and facial proportions.
Look at her neckline and compare the before and after photos along with the position of her lower jaw. The lower jaw position was tested in advance and then the bite was corrected with no prep VENLAY® restorations using the Face Lift Dentistry® method. You can’t do this with a Face-Lift or with veneers!
This patient flew in to Santa Monica after seeing the results of the website convinced her that this dentist has special training and skills. On the first visit, Dr. Sam Muslin made this patient a JawTrac® appliance that quickly relieved her pain and cosmetically improved her jaw, chin and the shape of her face. The next step is to correct her bite for maximum health and for maximum cosmetic benefits.
Her bite was corrected with VENLAY® restorations that build porcelain over the outside of her teeth (like a veneer) and over the biting surface to correct her bite. These restorations are only used to correct overbites and under bites and bad bites using the Face Lift Dentistry® method.
It is easy because none of the healthy teeth need to be ground down which also means that far less shots or dental injections are necessary and the time in the chair is much less with far less pain or discomfort. Dr. Muslin says, “Non-invasive treatment is the new age of high tech dentistry”. She returned three weeks later to see the porcelain in her mouth. This gave her time to see the results and make corrections that would improve the results.
Her upper teeth were too small and too short for her face. He lower jaw was pushed back towards her ears from the overbite. This treatment allowed her lower jaw to function normally because of the overbite correction treatment.
The miracle of this treatment is that it saves the healthy tooth structure, is non-invasive, does not require any surgery or braces and also gives the patient cosmetic benefits not possible with other treatments. You can’t do this with porcelain veneers or with smile dentistry.
She was able to see the final results and make corrections to it in order to customize her appearance to her specific requests. You can’t do this with braces or jaw surgery, which also cannot improve the size, color and shapes of the teeth.
