Sometimes a product that is marketed as being good for you is actually bad for you in more than one way- especially when it comes to your teeth.
Did you know that sports drinks are like battery acid to your teeth? Not only are they loaded with sugar and calories, but the actual pH level is high enough that the drink acts as an acid on the your chompers! Add to that the fact that they’re not actually good for you unless your really working up a sweat and that makes for a drink to avoid. Bottled water is another that isn’t helping your teeth. First because people bite down on bottles which causes strain, but bottled waters rarely have the fluoride in that tap water does which keeps teeth strong.
Red wine is another. While a little bit is good for your internal organs, the beverage is another naturally acidic tooth killer. The problem is worst among wine aficionados because of swishing which basically spreads the problem all over.
