Most articles and dentists will tell you to get a dental check-up every six months, but that’s an average. Some people can get away with going longer, and others should be seen more frequently.
If you’re young, brush and floss daily, and avoid sweets you can probably safely go a year between visits. However, most of us will need the tartar cleaned from our teeth every 6 months.
If you’re older and experience dry mouth, regularly indulge in sugary food or drink, or don’t have a perfect dental hygiene routine you could benefit from more frequent check-ups.
