In a soon-to-be published research study conducted by the University of Adelaide, data from 2,700 Australians revealed dentures and other artificial teeth may not be necessary after tooth loss.
It all depends on the number and type of teeth left. Dentures are only necessary when a “cutting off point” is reached, when a person’s quality of life and dental function is affected.
