So it’s Halloween, and we’re surrounded by candy. If the image of a disapproving dentist staring down at you doesn’t make you stave off the desire of candy, well then you need to find a way to stop yourself from a candy binge. And this isn’t just for your teeth either, it’s bad for your health overall.
First and foremost, set a limit. Don’t let yourself plow through all the candy at once. Try to pace yourself by setting a number of pieces of night limit. Not only will it help your teeth and health, it will also make the candy last longer! And when you eat it, eat it mindfully. Take your time. That way the pacing becomes much easier. You’ll be surprised how little it takes to satisfy when you eat it slow. Also, drink a lot of water as your eating it. First, this helps you digest it, second it helps clean off your teeth, and third it will curb your appetite for more!
