John’s teeth didn’t hurt him but his older dental crowns had decay he was unaware of. Because of years of grinding and age, his face was inexorably getting shorter. His teeth appeared short and yellow causing him some embarrassment. He also did not show his upper teeth while speaking anymore because of his bite.
Dr. Muslin recommended that John’s bite get rebuilt. In fact, he suggested it could be done in the best possible position for John’s jaw size and jaw joint (TMJ). The teeth length would support his lips. His teeth would be shaded a natural color matching his complexion.
All of the old dental work was removed in one visit. All the new work got completed in the second session. This dramatically improved John’s health and appearance. He wasn’t seeking the Hollywood movie star or the too shiny, fake looking white teeth look. He just wanted to look as healthy and young as he felt.
About the Aging Face
As we age, natural wear and tear on our teeth is inevitable. And as they wear, gravity plays its part and nudges the facial tissues downward. Our lips compress and our facial creases deepen. While we have to age, we can usually do something about our looks. In fact, Face Lift Dentistry® allows us to eliminate years from our face by treating the teeth without surgery.
About Face Lift® Dentistry
The concept is simple. Face Lift Dentistry® as practiced by Dr. Muslin, is the art and science of improving the patient’s health and appearance just by treating just the teeth. Although, it’s just the teeth being addressed, there are a wide variety of techniques that can be used:
- Dental Implants
- Porcelain Crowns or Veneers
- Cosmetic Dental Bonding
- TMJ Treatment
- Neuromuscular Dentistry
- Laser Dentistry
- Cosmetic Dentistry
Whoever the dentist is, he/she has to be proficient in all the use of all of these methods and more, to be effective in performing a Dental Face Lift®.
The objective is to optimize the health of the patient and then augment the teeth with cosmetic dentistry.
About Candidate for Face Lift Dentistry®
This website shows that this isn’t a procedure that will just benefit baby boomers. The teeth can be ground short or impacted by a bad bite at any age. When we do have a bad bite, it can worsen with age, impacting the face with thin lips, a weak appearing jaw and shorter lower faces.
But, we all want to be and look young and healthy no matter what our age. Most of our patients value their youthful appearance. The greatest benefit of Face Lift Dentistry® remains the health improvement they experience. It’s the total optimization of health, appearance and comfort for each patient.
