Overbrushing or brushing your teeth too hard can cause serious oral health issues. If you’ve neglected your teeth for a while and feel like you need to overbrush to compensate, you may be causing more damage.
Dr. Ronald Receveur recently published a blog stating enamel erosion, tooth decay, and gum disease may result from overbrushing.
He also suggests people wait 30 minutes after eating before brushing to allow saliva to reduce acid in the mouth that could cause problems if brushed into the teeth and gums.
