Porcelain veneers are certainly good at covering up surface abnormalities, but they require a solid original tooth to bond to. If you have a tooth that must come out, then a porcelain veneer cannot be of assistance to you, and a dental implant could be the ideal choice. Dental implants are increasingly recommended by dentists as they prove to be functionally effective and because, compared to dentures, dental implants are often better able to withstand the forces of biting and chewing. Porcelain veneers and dental implants are powerful options for the cosmetic dentistry tool box.
