Porcelain Veneers

Even though porcelain veneers can conceal a plethora of minor cosmetic issues, porcelain veneers will not help fix a missing or structurally unsound tooth. If you need to fix a dead tooth, a dental implant is a more suitable option. Dental implants are prosthetic tooth replacements that provide the functionality and aesthetics of the original tooth in a way that other options may not, which is why dental implants can be the sensible choice in some cases. Dental implants are fantastic if you must replace a missing or otherwise unsound tooth, but they don't make an ideal option for repair when a porcelain veneer can be used.

Porcelain veneers were created to disguise blemishes without extraction of the base tooth. Dental implants, differing from other quite topical options undertaken by your cosmetic dentist, are inserted surgically; dental implants are actually screwed into spaces made in one's jaw. Titanium is the preferred medium for dental implants : it's great for dental implants because, when it's roughened, bone grows enclosing it. The process of getting dental implants can be lengthy; it can take up to six months for the dental implant to become completely stabilized and an additional three months before the replacement tooth is installed.
