The shapes of our faces are not idealized because most of us do not have the best bite position and jaw position for our facial structure, causing facial disharmony. We could have a small looking chin or a short round aging face or head and neck stress all due to the wrong bite position. Almost every dentist does porcelain veneers and there are lots of dentists that call themselves “anti-aging dentists” but their treatment is the same type of cosmetic dentistry that has been done for the last 20 years. They only treat your smile while your jaw position and health is usually not improved. Your overbite gets worse because when they lengthen the upper teeth with veneers the overbite gets deeper. She is biting her teeth together in both photos. In the before photo her lips cover her teeth because her jaw closes too far.
