The patient was seeking cosmetic dentistry and after searching the internet and getting opinions form other cosmetic dentists, she came upon the topic of Face Lift Dentistry ® in the website by Sam Muslin DDS MAGD. She said the discussion on Face Lift Dentistry ® and the photos of his work were so convincing that she made an appointment.

The Consultation - The discussion concentrated on the change in shape of her entire face. She was so shocked to understand that dental care could actually change the shape of her face permanently. When Dr. Sam Muslin simulated the actual lift to her face by simulating the bite lift on her teeth, she decided to move forward with the entire treatment.

The key to Face Lift Dentistry ® is to customize every aspect of the teeth including the angulation of the teeth, the shape of the teeth, the amount of bite opening and the angle and degrees of three dimensional jaw repositioning. The patient could have her jaw repositioned "naturally" and quickly without jaw surgery because of the advanced technology in his office that identifies if the position of the patient's jaw is incorrect. After 30 years of experience, he has treated almost every combination of patient deficiencies.

Amazing Dental Bonding Technology

The treatment goal was to completely rebuild the entire bite and reposition the jaw of the patient without grinding down her teeth. All of the natural enamel was saved. The patient did not have cavities, did not have existing crowns or dental work and wanted to preserve her healthy natural teeth. She was shocked to learn that it was possible. She had read about Lumineers but he did not treat her teeth with Lumineers. Dr. Muslin has his own personal ceramist and develops the porcelain veneers with his customized bonding technique to achieve results that are surprisingly durable and natural looking.

Artistic Porcelain Veneer and Bite Reconstruction

The Face Lift Dentist has goals that go beyond cosmetic dentistry as he is trying to develop the facial features of each patient. All of the patients are completely different which requires the customized approach and individual attention to detail. There is no piece of high tech equipment that can replace the experienced dentist and when selecting a dentist be sure to see the photos of his or her actual work.

The Treatment

The vertical dimension of the patient was increased over 6 mm and the jaw was repositioned naturally downward and forward. The neck wrinkles were smoother and the shape of her face was elongated. The facial elongation smoother out facial wrinkles and have an effect on the entire face including the eyes. The major benefit is to the lower face as the teeth were utilized to support the soft tissues of the face in some areas and create a slimming effect in other areas.

Younger Face in Six Weeks

The patient had a total of four longer visits over a period of six weeks. No Surgery, No Stitches and no downtime from work. No pain medication and no antibiotics were necessary as the treatment was Non Invasive Dentistry using customized porcelain. There were several short visits for measurements, photos, video and diagnostic visualization by Dr. Muslin.

Diagnostic Visualization

The idea is to completely visualize the possibilities while watching the patient talk, laugh and smile. In the privacy of his office, he uses still digital photography with a MTV rapid movement approach. Combined with the Complex Tomography, Diagnostic Wax Up and diagnostic visualization of all of the data, the treatment is completed in systematic stages to allow natural adaptation by the patient. The patients find the care quick, much easier than expected and according the this patient, "the results exceeded expectations."
