Doctor Muslin sincerely thanks Greg for allowing him the privilege of showing his full face to demonstrate his treatment. Dr. Muslin is honored to have the patient give his permission. Greg had crooked looking yellow teeth and wanted to have them straight looking quickly. He did not want to wear braces. He did not want to wear retainers and was very afraid to have dental work done. Greg would say, "I am very nervous about having work done on my teeth and do not want them ground down". Even though a friend of Greg had the work done many years ago by Dr. Sam Muslin, Greg was still too nervous to move forward. |

Finally, Greg's mother saw Dr. Muslin at a speaking engagement at the Los Angeles Convention Center and she was in need of a lot of dental care. She started getting treated and Greg said it was finally his time. At the initial consultation, Greg laid out the ground rules and made it clear how he felt, what were his concerns and what he expected. Greg wanted a natural smile with white teeth, no grinding down his natural teeth and straighten out the crooked teeth. Greg was not real enthusiastic about teeth whitening and did not want to do it very much because teeth bleaching can make your teeth sensitive and you have to do it over and over. Porcelain veneers stay white. During the treatment appointment, Greg was very lively and nervous but soon relaxed in the chair and began watching the cable TV sets mounted into the ceiling directly above the dental chair. Greg had something to look at the captured his attention and was able to relax more while getting his treatment. Very little grinding was necessary and the impression technique of Dr. Muslin was quick and easy. After working with his own ceramist and using digital photos of Greg form many angles, Dr. Muslin is able to make the porcelain veneers right the first time. Dr. Muslin says that, "Most dentists send the impressions to a lab and never see or work on the porcelain themselves". "A lot of quality gets lost." The next appointment, Dr. Muslin places the porcelain veneers that he personally shaped on the patient's teeth so the patient can approve how they look before they are bonded. The veneers can also be modified in color a little bit if the patient would like them a little darker or a little lighter. Greg quickly approved everything and the veneers were bonded into place. Greg said, "Wow what a difference." "I can't believe I waited so long to get them done." "The treatment was so smooth, it was no big deal." "thank you Dr. Muslin." |
