After years of research and consultations with several dentists and oral surgeons she decided that she was not willing to undergo jaw surgery or wearing braces. Many people have bite conditions that do not allow the teeth to meet properly. This can make chewing virtually impossible. However, because we all have a survival instinct within us, we shove our lower jaw into unhealthy positions to try and make the teeth contact. Forcing the jaw too far to the side, front or back can lead to jaw joint damage and of course jaw muscle fatigue or pain. Most people are unaware of the damage they are causing by simply trying to survive.
