You are the one who is with your teeth at all times. You are the one who can brush and floss them twice a day. Sure, you can come and get your teeth cleaned every month or two but that, in no way, is a substitute for your own home care. If you are brushing and flossing correctly, you are providing yourself with the best insurance available. And there’s no deductible or out-of-pocket expenses to pay.

Get a Professional Dental Exam Before any Dental Treatment is Done

“How much is a filling?”

“How much is an extraction?”

These types of questions are very hard to answer over the phone because there are variables that determine the appropriate fee.

For example, how many surfaces of the tooth are involved for the filling? What kind of material is being used? How deep is the decay in the tooth? We can give ranges for some procedures but a true estimate needs to be done after a comprehensive exam, which usually involves an x-ray of the tooth involved. The x-ray can show the dentist how deep the decay extends, if there is bone loss around the tooth, if there is decay on an adjacent tooth, etc. Do yourself a favor—get a professional dental exam before any dental treatment is done.

Plan your care in the order of importance and find a dentist with “in your mouth” camera technology to show you what your need and why you need it.

The Cost of Quality Dentistry

Dentistry is one of those things where the ability of the provider is a huge consideration. You can “shop” for a can of soup by comparing prices because, after all, a can of Brand X soup at one store is the same as a can of Brand X at another store.

But when you talk about dentistry, “a crown is not a crown.” We’ve all see bad dentistry. Let’s face it, some dentists are far more talented than their peers. Some dentists use the best materials. Some dentists have ultra clean and ultra hightech dental offices. Some dentists are Masters of the Academy of General Dentistry and the other 99.9% are not! Do you want the best?

Staff Observations

Office Sanitation
Dr. Muslin’s office is by far the cleanest dental office I have ever seen. After working at a celebrity dental office in Beverly Hills, and then seeing Dr. Muslin’s office, I now realize how filthy the other office was. The uncleanness was hidden from the patients; it’s what’s not visible that really sets a bar for the standards of cleanliness. I feel as comfortable with the cleanliness of this office as I do my own home. Only distilled water is circulated throughout the dental units, and there is a specialized air filtration system throughout the entire office. Each room’s air is filtered separately. There is a rigorous cleaning schedule that is followed each week to keep the office in pristine condition.
Patient Care
At our office, all patients are seen at the exact time of their appointment! There is no waiting around, expect to be seen at the actual time of your appointment. This may sound crazy because most of us are used to waiting for 15 or 30 minutes when arriving to a medical appointment… well, not here. We have an efficient staff that will get you in the chair quickly and make you feel right at home.
Success Stories
I have worked for other dentists, and never have I seen patients so satisfied with the work they’ve had done. At my other offices, patients would come back all the time with sensitivity or they didn’t like the way something looked, but not at Dr. Muslin’s office. I have worked here for over a year and not even once have I seen a patient come back for any of these reasons. Patients have been thrilled with his or her work, ranging from a single crown to a full mouth reconstruction.

Patient Safety – Observations from My Staff

"My previous dentist used rusty wire clippers to cut and size paper clips for crown posts. A post is frequently used when a dentist is building up a crown. Dr. Muslin only uses sterilized state-of-the-art posts. He chooses from a customized selection of options so each patient gets the exact size post they need every time."

"My previous dentist reused his gloves. He would turn the gloves inside out in order to save money. Dr. Muslin never reuses his gloves. He washes his hands in front of each patient and dons a new pair of gloves every time. Our patients get the medical care and cleanliness they deserve."
